Okouro docs

This page takes you from a fresh signup to a working familiarity with the interface.

Creating your account

  1. On the sign-in screen, select No account yet? Create one to switch to signup.
  2. Complete Company name, Full name, Email, and Password.
  3. Select Create account.

Creating the account also creates your user: you become the administrator of the new account and land on the dashboard.

Signing in

Come back to the app, enter your email and password, and select Sign in. Your session persists across visits and restarts, so you stay signed in until you choose to leave. To leave, open the user menu from your avatar in the top right corner and select Log out.

Your first visit

With no data yet, the dashboard greets you with Welcome to your workspace and three shortcuts:

  • Add a consultant - create your first staffable profile.
  • Create a mission - open your first client engagement.
  • Open your timesheet - fill in the current period, once a consultant profile is linked to your account.

Without a linked consultant profile, the dashboard reminds you to ask an administrator to link one. The link is what unlocks your timesheet, assignments, and time off. See Consultant profiles.

The app shell

The sidebar divides the app into five sections:

  • Overview - the dashboard.
  • Activity - timesheets, your assignments, time off, and expenses.
  • Commercial - the pipeline and quotes.
  • Operations - clients, missions, consultants, and staffing.
  • Administration - users and organization.

Entries appear and disappear according to your role: a consultant sees a shorter list than an administrator. See Roles and access.

Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on macOS) from anywhere to focus the search box in the top bar. It searches users, consultants, clients, missions, timesheets, and expenses; which groups appear depends on your role. Move through the results with the arrow keys and open one with Enter.

Notifications

The bell in the top bar carries a badge with your unread count. Click it to open the panel, mark items read, and jump straight to the related record. See Notifications.

User menu

Click your avatar to open the user menu. It shows your full name, email, and role, and offers Settings for your personal preferences and Log out.

Interface language

Okouro ships in seven languages: English, Francais, Espanol, Deutsch, Portugues, Nederlands, and Italiano. Switch yours in Personal settings; the change applies immediately across the whole app.
